Grade 6: £26,264 - £31,331 p.a.

We seek to appoint a Research Assistant to work in the Oxford Antiviral Drug Discovery Unit. The research assistant will help to develop a Selected Reaction Monitoring (SRM) based assay for liver fibrosis biomarkers. This will involve SRM peptide selection, analysis of these peptides in control serum/plasma samples, FASP/in-gel digestion, operation and maintenance of an LC and mass spectrometer for SRM, and quantitation of biomarkers in a large cohort of samples using SRM peptide standards.

Applicants for this post will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a chemical or life science related subject and have practical experience in working in an LC-MS/MS proteomics laboratory. We are looking for someone with previous experience in SRM for biomarker studies.
