About Event

This two day online life science event will unfold the research, process and terms associated with ageing, so called Gerontology.

Event Description: Ageing is the process of becoming older. The term refers especially to human beings, many animals, and fungi, bacteria, perennial plants and few simple animals are hypothetically immortal. Ageing can be also referred as to single cells within an organism which have ceased dividing (cellular senescence) or to the population of a species (population ageing). In humans, ageing represents the accumulation of changes in a human being over time, encompassing physical, psychological, and social changes. Ageing is among the greatest known risk factors for most human diseases. Roughly 150,000 people who die each day across the globe, about two thirds die from age-related causes. Gerontology specifically refers to the study of the social, cultural, psychological, cognitive, and biological aspects of aging. It is distinguished from geriatrics, which is the branch of medicine that focuses in the treatment of prevailing disease in older people. Gerontologists include researchers and practitioners in the fields of biology, nursing, medicine, criminology, dentistry, social work, physical and occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry, sociology, economics, political science, architecture, geography, pharmacy, public health, housing, and anthropology.

The present scenario is that researchers from field of Geriatrics, Gerontology, Palliative care, Aging and health sciences, health care administrators and students are working in this multidisciplinary field to understand the physiology, biology of aging so as to make quality life available to the adults. It has been found that aging is the result of the dysfunction of the important organelles like mitochondrial dysfunction, heart dysfunction, and epigenetics variations, genomic instability. Increase in the aged population has led to the increase in the anti-aging market. Large number of services is provided by anti-aging market like anti-aging pigmentation therapy, anti-aging acne therapy, chemical peel, hair restoration treatment and many more. Various devices like Microdermabrasion, Laser Aesthetics, Anti-Cellulite Treatment, and Anti-Aging Radio Frequency Devices. This online event majorly focuses on senescence, aging demographics, and social theories of Gerontology, Biogerantology, Environmental Gerontology, Life extension science (anti-aging medicine), Experimental Gerontology, Geroscience and Biomedical Gerontology. This event will emphasize on the comprehensive view of the issues, challenges and opportunities in aging. It is the place to connect with peers, refresh your knowledge and gain new perspectives for interventional innovations for better Aging Care Management.

This event will craft a platform for all Gerontologists’, Biomedical Scientists, Professors, Research Scholars, Physicians, Registered nurses, Nurse practitioners, Doctors and Researchers Industry experts and Research organizations to encourage and explore their research and strategize novel methodologies in treatments and therapy from all parts of the world. In addition to these there are poster and oral presentation by students and research people. Anyone with interest in these fields will find this event useful.
